I started Take Aim Consulting because I kept running into the same situation. I'd meet incredibly talented people who'd started businesses. They were exceptional at what they did: their craft, their service, their product. But they were lost on the business side.

They'd hit growth and not know how to scale it. They'd look at their numbers and feel overwhelmed instead of empowered. They'd make decisions without the financial clarity to know if they were the right ones. And most of them knew they were missing something, but they didn't know what or who to turn to.

I realized that's where I could help.

I spent years in financial strategy roles at different scales - Fortune 500 companies, mid-market public companies, startups. What I got from all that experience is the ability to look at numbers and see the story they're telling. I geek out over finding patterns in the data, understanding what's actually driving a business, and helping owners see what they can't see on their own.

I'm the finance person so you don't have to be. You're exceptional at your thing. I'm exceptional at understanding the numbers. The goal is to give you enough clarity and confidence that you can go back to focusing on what you're actually great at, but now you're making smarter decisions about growth.

Most of the owners I work with come to me after they've already proven their business works. They've got traction. They're making money. But they know they don't know enough about how to take it to the next level. They want to scale, but scaling feels risky without full visibility into what's actually happening financially.

My Background

I'm a CFA Charterholder and California CPA. I've worked in finance and operations at Fortune 500 companies, mid-market public companies that were scaling fast, startups building from scratch, and now founder-operated businesses of all kinds.

What that range of experience taught me is what works at scale, what breaks when you try to grow without the right financial infrastructure, and how to help owners build systems that support growth instead of limiting it.

I love spending time in the details of a business. I find the patterns in the data. I help owners understand their numbers well enough to feel confident about their next move.

I’m based in Carlsbad in North County San Diego, but am able to work with business owners all over the planet.
In my free time I’m hiking with my rescue pup, surfing, or reading a good book.
